Altar oil

Altar oil is a general purpose oil for your altar, magic tools, and for personal anointing. It is made on the New Moon. Some practitioners clean their altar and anoint their altar gear every New Moon, and Altar oil is perfect for this purpose. Otherwise, you could use the New Moon energies in Altar oil to renew and refresh your altar before undertaking any new working of magick. Focus herb: Frankincense resin I make Altar oil is made on the Sunday following the new Moon. It can be used to consecrate any ritual tool, or to anoint ritual participants. Altar oil is also used to bless people, objects, or places, and to raise the spiritual vibrations of any occasion. It is an all-purpose formula that could be used to dedicate or "fix" any candle for any positive purpose. You could use it to anoint a green candle for money, a white candle for purification, red for love, if you don't have a more specific anointing oil. My Altar oil and Temple oil are very similar in formulation, but Temple is made on the Full Moon whereas Altar is made on the New Moon.
