Magennis Loose Ring

The Magennis Loose Ring Bit combines copper rollers and a square-edged mouthpiece with the mobility of loose rings. The rollers promote salivation and discourage jaw resistance, while the square profile applies concentrated pressure on the tongue and bars. The loose rings increase movement at the mouthpiece, encouraging suppleness and preventing the horse from fixing against the bit. Key Features of the Magennis Mouthpiece : Copper Rollers : Integrated into the mouthpiece to stimulate salivation, keep the jaw moving, and encourage acceptance of the bit. Square-Edged Profile : The flat or square design applies more concentrated pressure on the bars and tongue than rounded snaffles. Reduces Jaw Evasion : The rolling action makes it difficult for horses to cross or lock the jaw, minimizing resistance. Single Joint Features : Focused Contact : The single joint design concentrates pressure on the tongue and bars, creating clear communication between the horse and rider. Direct Function : This bit’s simple, direct action is ideal for horses that respond well to straightforward cues. Supports Engagement : With clear signals, the single joint encourages horses to stay focused on the rider’s aids, enhancing responsiveness and connection. Loose Ring Design Features : Increased Flexibility : The loose ring design allows the bit rings to move independently, minimizing pressure on the horse’s mouth and encouraging relaxation. Adaptive Control : The strength and effectiveness of the bit vary depending on factors such as material, thickness, and overall design. Pinch Prevention : For horses with sensitive mouth corners, rubber bit rings can be added to prevent pinching and increase comfort.
