Mag AM + PM

Overview  Transparent Labs Mag AM + PM is a comprehensive AM + PM magnesium supplement combination featuring four innovative, scientifically validated forms of bioavailable magnesium, including ATA Mg®, Magtein®, Sucrosomial® Magnesium, and Magnesium Bisglycinate. Magnesium is an integral cofactor for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body, and it is now clear that deficiency of this mineral can lead to a range of physical and mental health issues, hinder athletic performance, and impair recovery

. Health-conscious consumers, athletes, and gym-goers are taking an interest in magnesium supplementation due to recent estimates that upwards of 40% of Americans do not consume enough of this key electrolyte mineral, often despite taking a magnesium supplement

. Unlike common forms of supplemental magnesium (e.g., magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide), the forms in Mag AM + PM are highly absorbable and gentle on the gastrointestinal tract, making them ideal for ongoing use and maintaining adequate magnesium levels in the body. Key Features Contains 4 Unique Magnesium Forms for Enhanced Absorption: The efficacy of magnesium supplements hinges on the bioavailability of magnesium formulations. Sadly, many commercially available products contain low-quality magnesium salts, which are poorly absorbed and can cause gastrointestinal side effects. The magnesium forms found in Mag AM + PM are gentle on the stomach and have superior absorption kinetics, helping your body absorb and use the magnesium more effectively. Targeted Magnesium Delivery for Systemic Health Benefits: Each form of magnesium in Mag AM + PM has a distinct absorption and metabolism profile designed to complement one another for systemic health benefits, such as supporting brain health, muscle function, sleep quality, and more. 30-Day Supply to Cover Your Daily Magnesium Needs: Mag AM + PM provides 106% of the RDA (recommended daily allowance) for magnesium with just one serving (each) of the AM + PM formulation to easily and effectively increase your magnesium intake. Pure, Quality Ingredients (No Fillers or Nonsense): Consistent with our core values, each batch of Transparent Labs Mag AM + PM is third-party tested for purity, potency, and authenticity. Active Ingredients and Benefits ATA Mg® | 700 mg ATA Mg® (Magnesium N-Acetyl Taurinate) is an innovative, patented form of magnesium produced by combining magnesium with acetyl-taurine, a natural metabolite of taurine. The acetylation of taurine facilitates greater magnesium transport across cell membranes, making magnesium N-acetyl taurinate one of the most intriguing yet underappreciated forms of supplemental magnesium

.  In addition to being highly bioavailable, magnesium N-acetyl taurinate is a popular subject of recent research, evaluating its impact on cardiovascular function, nervous system function, ocular/vision health, and skeletal muscle recovery.

. Preliminary studies are promising and suggest that this specific form of magnesium helps regulate neurotransmitter activity and calm the nervous system

. Magtein® | 2,000 mg Magtein® is an innovative, clinically studied magnesium salt that combines magnesium with threonic acid, a naturally occurring metabolite of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Magnesium L-threonate is distinct from other forms of magnesium in that it has superior bioavailability across the blood-brain barrier; thus, it increases magnesium levels in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid more effectively than other forms of magnesium

. The increase in brain magnesium concentrations after taking magnesium L-threonate is consistently associated with improved synaptic density and plasticity in the hippocampus, which is critical for learning and memory

. Studies also indicate that this form of magnesium can support neurological health and function through multimodal mechanisms of action (e.g., enhancing mitochondrial density in neurons and bolstering glial cells)

.  Sucrosomial® Magnesium | 600 mg Sucrosomial® magnesium is the result of nanotechnology advances in recent years that led to the creation of “sucrosomes,” which are cell-like matrices comprised of phospholipids and sucrose esters. The sucrosome protects the encapsulated magnesium ions in a protective layer that passes through the gastrointestinal tract more efficiently, minimizing the degradation that often occurs with other forms of supplemental magnesium

.  The phospholipid-based coating facilitates absorption into the bloodstream, making it more efficacious

. Another advantage of Sucrosomial® magnesium is that it can be taken in large doses without causing adverse GI effects.  Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate | 600mg One of the most bioavailable forms of magnesium is magnesium bisglycinate—a chelated form of magnesium where the mineral is bonded to glycine, an amino acid. This specific form is noted for its superior absorption and minimal gastrointestinal side effects compared to other forms, such as magnesium oxide

.  The enhanced absorbability of magnesium bisglycinate can be attributed to glycine acting as a transport molecule, facilitating magnesium passage through the intestinal wall. As a result, a greater proportion of ingested magnesium is absorbed into the bloodstream, thereby increasing overall bioavailability.  How To Use For Mag AM: Take four (4) capsules daily as a dietary supplement, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning. (This can be taken with a meal if you prefer.) For Mag PM: Take three (3) capsules daily as a dietary supplement, preferably on an empty stomach in the evening. (This can be taken with a meal if you prefer.) Optimal Consumption Times Magnesium can be taken any time of day, but it's generally best to take the AM and PM formulas at their designated timeframes.  FAQs How Much Magnesium Should I Take Per Day? You should consume at least the reference daily intake (RDI) of all vitamins as consistently as possible. Thankfully, Mag AM/PM is designed to provide over 100% of the RDI in a daily serving. Does Magnesium Need to be Taken with Calcium for Proper Absorption? Not necessarily. While calcium is necessary for magnesium absorption, the body tightly regulates blood calcium levels. Calcium deficiency is quite rare since bones serve as a sizable reservoir of calcium. Moreover, many forms of magnesium are readily absorbed without co-ingesting calcium. Nevertheless, you can take a calcium supplement or eat calcium-rich food with your AM or PM dose of Mag AM + PM.  When is the Best Time to Take Magnesium? For the most part, magnesium supplements can be taken whenever it is most convenient for you. If you’re taking magnesium for general health and longevity benefits, it’s best to take it with a meal or shortly before. If you’re consuming a magnesium form known to cause laxation (citrate or oxide), split the doses throughout the day to avoid stomach upset. When in doubt, follow the directions on the label. Why Does Magnesium Cause Digestive Upset? Certain forms of magnesium can cause digestive upset and diarrhea primarily due to poor bioavailability. Unabsorbed magnesium creates an osmotic effect, drawing water into the intestine. Mag AM + PM is formulated for superior absorption, limiting the digestive issues associated with poor bioavailability.
