MAESTRO® S

Descender with integrated progress-capture pulley for loads up to 250 kg, compatible with 10.5 to 11.5 mm ropes The MAESTRO S is a descender designed for technical rescue operations. It makes it easier to manipulate heavy loads when lowering or hauling and can be used in both the primary system or in a backup belay. This versatility allows rescuers to adapt to a variety of different situations they may encounter on the rescue scene. The ergonomic handle and integrated brake enable a comfortably controlled descent. Changing from lowering to hauling is immediate, without the need to transfer the load. The integrated progress-capture pulley has a large diameter sheave mounted on sealed ball bearings, providing excellent hauling efficiency. The AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope when the handle is not in use. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The MAESTRO S descender is compatible with 10.5 to 11.5 mm ropes and can handle loads up to 250 kg. Description Great versatility, ideal for technical rescue: - The locking system with integrated progress-capture pulley allows the same device to be used for lowering and hauling - Can be used in both a single or twin primary system and in a backup belay (more information on this technique in the Instructions for Use and technical tips at www.petzl.com) - Lower connection point can be used to create different types of haul systems - Hole in the handle for installing a remote control cord Easy to use: - Markings on the device make rope installation easy - Ergonomic handle allows the rope to be released progressively and enables comfortable control of the descent - Changing from lowering to hauling is immediate, without the need to transfer the load - The AUTO-LOCK system allows the rope to be blocked automatically when the handle is not in use; once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle Efficient for handling heavy loads: - Integrated progress-capture pulley with very large diameter sheave mounted on sealed ball bearings; rotates in only one direction for excellent hauling efficiency - Faceted sheave creates additional friction zones for the rope and provides additional braking when lowering - Integrated brake on the device to adjust the friction based on the load and the rope diameter Compatible with 10.5 to 11.5 mm ropes for handling loads up to 250 kg Other Usage Characteristics: - Can be used with a 10 mm rope for a working load limit up to 150 kg - Can handle loads up to 272 kg when used with an 11 mm NFPA-certified General Use rope More information in the Instructions for Use at www.petzl.com.
