Upper Madison River - Summer Fly Box

Fish the Upper Madison like you know it — because now you do.   The Upper Madison River Summer Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Upper Madison from June through August. Summer on the Upper Madison is world-class. The salmonfly hatch kicks off the season in spectacular fashion, followed by golden stones, caddis, PMDs, and the hopper fishing the Madison Valley is famous for.   This box is built around the Upper Madison's summer hatch calendar — salmonflies, golden stoneflies, caddis, and grasshoppers. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing with large attractors and hopper-dropper rigs in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering salmonfly imitations, golden stone dries, large hoppers, elk hair caddis, and attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Chase the salmonfly hatch upstream on the Upper Madison — it moves roughly 1-2 miles per day as water temps rise. Timing it right is everything, and the fishing during the hatch is extraordinary.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Upper Madison or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
