Madeleine Round Cake Dish, Second

Please note, this item is considered a second choice by our factory in France. All seconds are handmade using our usual crafting methods, but with minor glazing or ceramic blemishes, neither of which minimize the quality of performance. In an effort to minimize our impact on the environment, unglazed items are recycled and the materials reused. For the same reason, we've decided to make our seconds available for purchase at a significant discount. If you're visiting the Burgundy region of France, you can shop our ceramic seconds in our physical Emile Henry Factory Shop, located in Marcigny. In the U.S., seconds are available online only. Madeleine Ceramic Dishes: A Perfect Blend of Tradition and Practicality In French culture, the expression Madeleine de Proust refers to a sensory trigger that evokes vivid memories, inspired by Marcel Proust’s iconic novel, In Search of Lost Time. In the novel, Proust describes how the taste and smell of a Madeleine cookie transports him back to his childhood. Just as Proust's Madeleine stirred his past, our Madeleine ceramic dishes bring an extra layer of charm and soul to your cakes and desserts. Why Choose Madeleine Ceramic Dishes for Your Baking? Made from high-quality ceramic, these dishes provide gentle, even heat distribution that ensures your baked goods come out perfectly every time. The heat diffuses evenly throughout the batter, resulting in cakes that are light, moist, and golden brown.
