The Madeira Mag Core Bobbin L is a sideless, magnetic-core, pre-wound embroidery bobbin designed to enhance the efficiency and quality of machine embroidery projects. Its innovative magnetic core ensures consistent tension and reduces maintenance needs, making it a valuable asset for both professional embroiderers and hobbyists. FEATURES Sideless Design: Allows for increased thread capacity, providing 148 yards per bobbin, which reduces the frequency of bobbin changes and enhances productivity. Magnetic Core: Secures the bobbin within the metal bobbin case, maintaining consistent tension throughout its use. This feature minimizes over-spin, friction, and wear on the bobbin case, leading to smoother operation. Continuous Polyester Filament Thread: Utilizes high-quality polyester filament thread that decreases lint buildup in the bobbin case, resulting in less machine maintenance and cleaner embroidery outcomes. Compatibility: Designed in the L-style format, making it suitable for a wide range of embroidery machines that accept this bobbin style. Bulk Packaging: Each box contains 144 bobbins, catering to high-volume embroidery operations and reducing the need for frequent reordering. For optimal performance, it is recommended to remove any anti-backlash spring from the bobbin case when using these magnetic-core bobbins. SPECS Bobbin Style: L Available Colors:White Length: 148yd Quantity: 144 bobbins per box INSTRUCTIONS Proper thread tension is crucial for achieving high-quality embroidery. Incorrect tension can lead to issues such as thread breaks, looping, or bobbin thread appearing on the top of the design. To ensure optimal results, follow these steps: Set Bobbin Tension: Use a bobbin tension gauge to measure the tension. For standard embroidery, adjust the bobbin tension to between 18 and 22 grams. When embroidering caps, set the tension up to 25 grams. Adjust Upper Thread Tension: After setting the bobbin tension, use a top tension gauge to adjust the upper thread tension. For rayon threads, aim for a tension between 100 and 120 grams. For polyester threads, set the tension between 120 and 150 grams. Specialty threads may require different settings; ensure that approximately one-third of the bobbin thread is visible on the underside of a satin stitch. Test Stitching: Sew a simple satin stitch and examine the underside. Proper tension should show one-third bobbin thread centered, with two-thirds top thread on either side. If the bobbin thread is too prominent, the upper tension may be too tight. If looping occurs, the upper tension might be too loose. Regular Maintenance: Clean the bobbin case regularly to prevent dust buildup, which can affect tension. Ensure needles are in good condition, as damaged needles can cause thread breaks. By meticulously adjusting both bobbin and upper thread tensions and performing regular maintenance, you can achieve consistent, high-quality embroidery results.
