Hume Mirror Aged Camel Leather

The Hume Mirror in Aged Camel Leather by Made Goods draws its character from an unexpected pairing: brass grommets and full-grain leather arranged in a spiral orb web. The frame reads as both sculptural and functional, with large studs punctuating the perimeter in a rhythm that catches light differently depending on the hour and angle of view. Aged camel leather wraps the geometric form, its surface marked by the material's own history. Color shifts subtly across the face, and the texture carries the soft distressing that comes from time and use. This isn't uniformity; it's the opposite. Each hide brings its own character, slight variations in tone and grain that make the piece feel less manufactured and more discovered. Mounted on a wall, the Hume becomes a quiet anchor. The brass work prevents it from reading as purely functional, while the leather grounds it in warmth rather than cold reflection. In a room with natural light, the studs create a gentle shadow play that shifts through the day. Against a neutral backdrop, the camel tone reads as both neutral and present, the kind of object that feels right in a minimal interior or alongside layered textures and deeper tones. The leather will age further with time, deepening in places where it's touched or exposed to light. This isn't a flaw in the material; it's the material's nature. Full-grain leather of this quality develops a patina that only adds to its presence in a room. *Natural variations in color and texture are characteristics of this collection's aged full-grain leather. This durable, high-quality leather may show inherent markings, distressed appearance, and variations in pattern.
