MATERIALS Inspired by our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Firewire Surfboards has collaborated with BLOOM Foam to create this more sustainable traction pad. BLOOM is a high-performance flexible foam made with algae harvested from freshwater sources at risk of toxic algal bloom. The BLOOM Foam process: Creates a product with increased durability, improved shock absorption, and reduced weight when compared to conventional foams. Helps improve the quality of waterways by removing excess algae that harms plants, animals, and people who rely on the ecosystem for survival. Recirculates fresh water back into natural habitats. Aids CO2 capture and sequestration by rebalancing the natural ecology, and reducing our dependence on non-renewable oil. By choosing this traction pad you are helping make the world a cleaner place.
