The Macallan Edition Series Complete Set No.1 through No.6 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 6 x 700ml

The Macallan Edition Series ran from 2015 to 2020 and stands as one of the most creatively ambitious limited release programs ever undertaken by a Scotch whisky distillery. Each of the six editions was built around a unique collaboration between Macallan's whisky maker Bob Dalgarno and a world-class creative partner, with every bottle reflecting a different cask philosophy, flavour profile, and design concept. To own the complete set of Edition No.1 through No.6 is to own a comprehensive document of one of the most celebrated chapters in modern Macallan history. Each bottle is now a discontinued back vintage that will never be produced again, and assembling all six in a single acquisition is increasingly rare. Edition No.1 (2015) — Brown: The inaugural edition, matured in a combination of European and American oak casks selected by Bob Dalgarno. Bottled at 48% ABV, it established the series' commitment to cask-forward complexity and seasonal character. Edition No.2 (2016) — Orange: A collaboration between Bob Dalgarno and El Celler de Can Roca, the world-renowned restaurant. The three Roca brothers influenced the flavour brief, resulting in a whisky bottled at 48.2% ABV with a more vibrant, fruit-driven profile. Edition No.3 (2018) — Yellow: Created in collaboration with master perfumer Roja Dove, Edition No.3 explored the parallels between perfumery and whisky making. Bottled at 48.3% ABV, it is one of the most aromatic and distinctive expressions in the series. Edition No.4 (2018) — Green: A collaboration with the Macallan Design Team and global design agency, Edition No.4 pushed the cask program in a new direction with a modern flavour profile delivered through hand-picked Macallan sherry-seasoned oak casks. Bottled at 48.4% ABV. Edition No.5 (2019) — Purple: Created in partnership with Pantone Color Institute, Edition No.5 was inspired by the natural colours of Macallan's Easter Elchies estate and tied a unique shade of purple to a whisky of layered sweetness and spice. Bottled at 48.5% ABV. Edition No.6 (2020) — Blue: The final chapter in the series, Edition No.6 was a collaboration with photographer Rankin, celebrating the Macallan community through portraiture. Bottled at 48.6% ABV, it is the rarest and most recent edition, closing the series on a high note. FAQ Is the complete Edition Series set rare? Yes. Each individual edition is now a discontinued back vintage. Finding all six together in a single acquisition is increasingly uncommon and represents a significant collector opportunity. The series ran for just five years across six releases and will not be continued or reprised. Why does the series skip from No.2 (2016) to No.3 (2018)? There was no Edition No.3 release in 2017. Macallan released editions on their own schedule based on when each creative collaboration and cask program was ready, not on a strict annual cadence. Are these 700ml or 750ml bottles? The Macallan Edition Series was released globally at 700ml, the standard European bottle format. These are 700ml bottles per edition, six bottles in total. Which edition is considered the best? Collector and enthusiast opinion varies. Edition No.3 and No.6 are frequently cited as standouts for their aromatic complexity and elegant finish respectively, while Edition No.1 holds historical significance as the series opener. The complete set allows you to form your own view across all six. Where can I buy the complete Macallan Edition Series set online?
