Ma Perkins

1954 2 to 2 feet 'Ma Perkins' is a rose that has been used extensively in hybridizing programs since it was released, the 1950's. There is of course a reason for this. Being one of the original Floribundas, 'Ma Perkins' possesses an abundance of almost bourbon-like blooms graced with with strong fragrance. Indeed the number of blooms is so great that some even refer to Ma as a "Hybrid Polyantha." Some interesting facts are that it is "nearly" thornless, and it was used by David Austin to breed 'Wife of Bath' and several other English Roses.
