Molten Matzah Plate

Michael Aram Judaica comes from Michael's fascination with objects of ritual. Regardless of the faith with which they are connected, they are imbued with a profound energy and meaning that holds a very special place for him. Whether it is a unique object or derived from a motif with a broad collection, each piece is created with a particular sense of reverence and care in both the function and the design. "This is such a fun object! It suggests its function through its own form. A matzah, matzah plate...I do that a lot and it always strikes me with such a sense of whimsy and surprise. The surface texture of the matzah, when it is interpreted in cast metal, also creates a totally unexpected beauty. I love that it comes with a bag for hiding so it creates a ritual for kids and a special memory of family events." 8.75"L x 8.75"W Nickelplate
