M3 Ring Blank - Black Titanium & Brass

Turn a ring that looks and feels like solid metal, minus the challenge of machining actual metal stock. M3 (Macro Molecular Metal) composite combines real metal particles in a durable resin binder, giving you the weight, shine, and metallic character of steel, brass, copper, and titanium in a material that’s far easier to turn and polish. Manufactured in the USA by McKenzie Pen Works, M3 blanks use an updated urethane-based resin formula that improves strength and impact resistance over earlier polyester-based versions, so your finished ring holds up to years of everyday wear.  Each blank features a striking blend of real metal content, giving every ring a one-of-a-kind pattern with genuine metallic depth you won’t find in ordinary acrylics. Every M3 blank ships with a certificate of authenticity detailing the materials used and care instructions. Sized at approximately 1-1/2” x 1/2”, these blanks are cut specifically for ring turning and available in various distinctive color combinations. Turning and Finishing M3 blanks contain real metal, so standard woodturning tools won’t hold an edge against them for long. Carbide-tipped turning tools are recommended for clean, efficient cuts without excessive tool wear. Once shaped, polish your finished ring with M3 Metal Polish to bring out the full depth and shine of the metal content, giving your piece a true mirror finish.
