Lychee Congou Black Tea

A traditional Chinese black tea naturally perfumed with fresh lychee — fragrant, sweet, and endlessly sippable. What is Lychee Congou? Lychee Congou is a China black tea that has been naturally scented by applying the juice of fresh lychee fruit directly to the tea leaves. Congou refers to a style of carefully processed Chinese black tea — full-bodied and smooth — and the lychee scenting adds a delicate floral sweetness without any artificial flavoring. The result is a fragrant, beautifully balanced cup that is as pleasing to the nose as it is to the palate. What does it taste like? Expect a smooth, full-bodied black tea base with a soft, lingering sweetness and the distinctive floral-fruit aroma of fresh lychee. It is naturally sweet without being cloying — the kind of cup that does not require sugar. Brewed hot, it is warming and aromatic; brewed cold over ice, it becomes a refreshing and elegant summer drink. Does it contain caffeine? Yes. As a black tea, Lychee Congou contains caffeine — typically 40–70mg per cup depending on steeping time and water temperature. It is a naturally energizing choice for morning or afternoon, without the intensity of espresso. How to brew Bring cold, filtered water to a full rolling boil (205–212°F). Use one rounded teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup. Pour boiling water directly over the leaves. Steep for 4–5 minutes, then remove the leaves to prevent bitterness. Serve hot as-is, or brew double-strength and pour over ice for an aromatic iced tea. One 4 oz. tin yields approximately 40 cups of brewed tea. Ingredients China black tea (Congou), natural lychee scenting. No artificial flavors. Contains caffeine. Why customers love it An exotic flavor that is instantly approachable. Lychee is floral and gently sweet — complex enough to feel special, but smooth enough to become an everyday favorite. Naturally scented, never artificial. The lychee fragrance comes from real fruit juice applied to the leaves — the same traditional method used for generations in China. No flavor oils, no synthetic additives. Naturally sweet — no sugar needed. The lychee scenting gives the cup a soft, honeyed quality that satisfies without needing sweetener, making it a lighter, cleaner option than flavored commercial teas. A standout iced tea. Brewed cold, Lychee Congou is one of the most distinctive and crowd-pleasing iced teas available — perfect for warm weather, entertaining, or as a refined alternative to sugary drinks. A beautiful gift and a reliable bestseller. The combination of a familiar black tea base with an exotic, recognizable flavor makes this an easy introduction to loose leaf tea for new customers and a consistent favorite for experienced drinkers.
