Luxsin Audio X8 | Desktop DAC and Headphone Amp

Building on Luxsin's X9, X8 ushers in a smarter listening era with 8-DAC parallel architecture, a powerful Digital Audio Core, and the world’s first AI-assisted EQ Built around 8 Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips Up to 4800mW + 4800mW headphone output power Proprietary Digital Audio Core processing module Featuring the world's first AI assisted EQ tuning Bloom's Take The X8 is one of those rare DAC/amps that feels less like an incremental update and more like a shift in how we interact with desktop audio. At its core, it offers a smooth, slightly warm presentation with a wide soundstage, strong spatial imaging, and an engaging mix of musicality and clarity that makes it an easy match for most IEMs and headphones. With up to 4.8W of output power on tap, it’s capable of driving just about anything you’d realistically pair with an all-in-one desktop solution, short of the most notoriously demanding planar designs. Read our full review. Dual-Mono Parallel Architecture The X8 features eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips in a true dual-mono parallel architecture, with four DACs operating in parallel per channel. Left and right channels are fully independent in power supply, circuit layout, and signal path, minimizing crosstalk and interference. The parallel analog outputs are precisely summed to reduce noise and improve dynamic range, signal-to-noise ratio, and low-level detail, resulting in stable imaging and clear spatial presentation. A dedicated high-speed data buffering and distribution circuit ensures all DACs operate within the same reference clock domain, maintaining precise synchronization and preventing timing mismatch. Each of the eight CS43198 DACs is equipped with a custom shielding cover, which isolates the DACs from digital circuitry and high-frequency interference while assisting heat dissipation and thermal balance.  Digital Audio Core The Digital Audio Core in the X8 is a high-performance processing module deeply customizedby Luxsin and the first of its kind to be applied in a professional audio product. Built on a dual-core HiFi-5 DSP and ARM STAR architecture, with large on-chip SRAM and a DSP operating at over 500 MHz, it delivers the computational headroom required for complex real-time audio processing and advanced tuning algorithms. HP-EQ System HP-EQ is Luxsin's proprietary acoustic technology that performs hardware level EQ calibration, aligning your headphones' frequency response precisely with the Harman curve or other preset target curves. With a growing database of over 2,500 headphone models, HP-EQ delivers accurate, personalized audio matching for every listener.  The AI Era of PEQ World's First AI Assisted EQ Tuning, a revolutionary way to personalize your music. The AI instantly tailors the overall sound profile or fine tunes specific details with a simple voice/text command, delivering effortless, precise results. Professional grade tuning is now accessible to all. Control it seamlessly through the mobile app or PC web UI, with full multilingual support, for a truly flexible and intelligent listening experience. Variable Linear Power Supply X8 adopts a fully separated linear power supply, with digital and analog circuits independently powered. This design isolates noise coupling and interference between circuits from the source, significantly enhancing sonic purity, background darkness, and laying a stable, clean power foundation for overall sound quality. The system integrates multiple voltage and current monitoring sensors for real-time power supervision. It also supports an adjustable dual analog voltage design (12V and 15V), further improving the flexibility and controllability of the power system. Upgraded Output Power The X8 employs a optimized headphone amplifier design using multiple OPA1612 op-amps and TPA6120A2 high-current drivers to independently drive each channel, delivering a powerful output of L+R ≥ 4800 mV + 4800 mV with extremely low distortion and high linearity. It effortlessly drives even the most demanding flagship headphones, offering strong dynamics, fast transients, and precise detail retrieval. Impedance Detection The upgraded headphone impedance detection system now covers all output interfaces (XLR4,4.4mm, and 6.35mm) enabling precise impedance auto-detection and automatic matching of the optimal gain setting.  Specifications Full list of specifications Dimensions: 9.29" (L) x 9.32" (W) x 2.52" (H)  Weight: 6lbs Connection Diagram User Manual In the Box Luxsin X8 DAC and Amp Power cable USB-B cable 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter
