With its stunning craftsmanship and revolutionary technology, the P-100 stands as a testament to Luxman's legacy of innovation and their commitment to the future of high-fidelity audio. Luxman's Historic Legacy Born in 1925 when a visionary businessman crafted a prototype radio receiver, Luxman has evolved over a century into one of the most respected names in high-end audio. The P-100 Centennial celebrates this rich heritage while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in headphone amplification. This special anniversary model incorporates cutting-edge technology that honours Luxman's past while setting new benchmarks for the next 100 years of audio excellence. Immersive Sonic Performance Experience music as the artists intended with the P-100's extraordinary sonic capabilities. This premium headphone amplifier unveils the finest textures and nuances in your recordings, creating a boundless soundstage with rich emotional resonance. From the delicate whisper of acoustic instruments to the thunderous impact of orchestral crescendos, the P-100 Centennial delivers every detail with astonishing clarity and precision that brings your music collection to life. Revolutionary LIFES Amplification Technology At the heart of the P-100 Centennial is Luxman's groundbreaking "New amplified feedback engine" LIFES, an evolution of their acclaimed ODNF technology. This fully balanced amplifier circuitry represents a complete reimagining of circuit design while retaining the core concept of feeding back and eliminating only distorted components. The result is an amplifier that reduces output distortion by more than half compared to previous designs, with a signal-to-noise ratio improved by over 3dB, creating the quietest, most precise listening experience possible. Precision LECUA-EX Volume Control The P-100 features Luxman's advanced LECUA-EX high-definition volume control system, offering unprecedented precision with 200 steps in 0.5dB increments. This sophisticated system eliminates common issues like channel imbalances at low volumes and ensures consistent sound quality regardless of volume setting. With three-stage sensitivity switching, left-right balance adjustment, and a six-stage volume limiter, the P-100 provides customized control while protecting both your ears and expensive headphones from unexpected volume spikes. Superior Balanced Architecture Experience audio purity through the P-100's fully balanced design, which unites four independent amplifier blocks enhanced by Luxman's advanced LIFES technology. This meticulous architecture enhances channel separation, improves positional accuracy, reduces distortion, and delivers exceptional power regulation. For the ultimate listening experience, two P-100 units can be linked via their 3-pin XLR outputs for parallel BTL balanced drive, employing all eight available amplifier blocks for unmatched performance. Versatile Connection Options The P-100 Centennial accommodates virtually any high-end headphone with its comprehensive array of output terminals. The amplifier includes a standard unbalanced 6.3mm output, balanced 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm terminals, plus a 3-pin XLR dedicated terminal for parallel BTL balanced output mode. This versatility ensures optimal compatibility with your preferred headphones, allowing you to experience their full potential regardless of connection type. Customizable Listening Experience Tailor the P-100's performance to match your specific headphones and preferences with its extensive adjustment capabilities. The amplifier offers three sensitivity levels (0, -6, -12dB), precise LR balance adjustment in 0.5dB steps, and output mute functions that preserve audio quality while adapting to different headphone impedances and efficiencies. The six-level volume limit function provides additional protection against excessive sound pressure, ensuring a safe and comfortable listening experience. Intuitive Information Display Monitor your settings with precision thanks to the P-100's large 7-segment LED display—a first for Luxman headphone amplifiers. The 3-digit display shows volume levels in 0.5dB increments, while dedicated LED indicators provide clear status information for through output, mode switching during balanced output, BTL and volume limit functions. This thoughtful interface ensures you always know exactly how your system is configured for optimal performance. Multiple Drive Modes for Ultimate Flexibility Unlock your headphones' full potential with the P-100's four selectable output configurations. Choose between two styles of parallel unbalanced output (common ground LR/independent ground LR), BTL balanced output, or the ultimate configuration using two P-100 units as paired mono amplifiers. This flexibility allows you to optimize performance based on your headphones' characteristics, delivering the perfect match for your listening preferences. Premium Anniversary Design The P-100 Centennial makes a stunning visual statement with its exclusive "CENTENNIAL" nameplate featuring a platinum-like finish reserved for Luxman's 100th anniversary models. The amplifier's oversized front panel with precise hairline finish conveys the authority of a true flagship model while enhancing chassis rigidity. Every visual detail reflects the exceptional engineering within, creating an audio component that's as beautiful to look at as it is to listen to. Advanced Independent Power Supply Experience unwavering performance thanks to the P-100's sophisticated power architecture. The amplifier features two custom-made, large-capacity OI-type transformers dedicated exclusively to each channel, plus an independent transformer for peripheral circuitry. The output stage incorporates four custom 10,000μF filter capacitors, while the driver stage includes four custom 3,300μF filter capacitors, all configured independently for left and right channels. This high-capacity, stable power supply ensures consistent performance regardless of demand. Audiophile-Grade Components Every component within the P-100 Centennial has been meticulously selected to ensure optimal sound quality. Large speaker relays with parallel, low-resistance connections guarantee lossless power transmission, while output lines are optimized for ultra-low impedance. Internal OFC (oxygen-free copper) wiring with spiral wrap shielding and non-plated cores, together with custom-crafted components, deliver the overwhelming performance expected from a flagship product. Vibration-Eliminating Chassis Design The P-100's chassis employs a highly rigid, loopless structure that prevents earth loop generation and eliminates the effects of chassis current impedance and magnetic fields. Its bottom section features a 4.1mm thick steel plate that increases ground mass, lowers the center of gravity, and acts as a heatsink. Density gradient cast-iron feet protect delicate signals from external vibrations, ensuring nothing interferes with the pure sound reproduction you demand.
