I used to nanny a very special family in Los Angeles. Whenever there was a full moon, the mom, little boy and I would go outside and make (silent) wishes together. To this day, when I see the moon I think of them and feel warm and fuzzy. When I visit my brother who lives off the grid in west Texas or camp anywhere outside of the city limits, I love nothing more than to sit under the moon and stars and take it all in. Reminds me how small I really am.
