Luminous Joy Necklace, China

This gorgeous minimalist necklace was handmade by survivors of human trafficking.  It features 6 tiny blue zircons on a delicate 14k gold-plated chain.  This meaningful piece looks great alone or layered and makes a wonderful gift. The purchase of this necklace is equivalent to 1 week of computer classes for an exploited woman.   Pendant measures approximately 1/2." Chain measures 16 - 18" (adjustable length). ABOUT THE ARTISANS   This piece of jewelry is made in a fair trade cooperative in China by survivors of human trafficking.  The women have survived horrific abuse but are now living lives of freedom. They are working with an organization that provides them with a safe haven as well as healthcare, education, counseling, job training and employment.  They are learning a trade that empowers them to remain free forever from abuse.
