Lumin X1 Network Music Player (OPEN)

Lumin X1 Network Music Player   “The Lumin X1 streaming DAC sits all by itself among the other Lumin products. It's clearly the best product Lumin has made to date, by a wide margin. This streaming DAC has an analog quality to it [yet it ]has air, detail, liquidity, slam, and the appropriate amount of analog vibe that makes the Lumin X1 something to behold. The X1 is a true accomplishment for the Lumin team and a must-hear for eager audiophiles worldwide.” — THE COMPUTER AUDIOPHILE, DECEMBER 2019     “The X1 nailed every aspect of musical performance I look for in a recording; soundstaging, musical coherence, dynamic range, detail, vocal articulation, solidity of image... you name it, the Lumin did it and did it well. I could swap from light breathy songstress to heavy opera and nothing whatsover phased it.” — ALAN SIRCOM, HI-FI+   “Low-level detail through the Lumin X1 was also as good as I’ve heard from any digital source, any time, any place. Bass extension through the X1 extended down to as low as the program material could go. I was impressed by the system’s ability to retain not only proper pitch but also the texture of the bass. Bass dynamics were also exemplary with no sense of constriction or any homogenization of the dynamic energy. Midrange texture and balance through the X1 were virtually grainless and extremely even in dynamic and harmonic weight and emphasis from the upper frequencies down through the lower midrange.” — STEVEN STONE, THE ABSOLUTE SOUND, NOV 2019   “The Lumin X1 has the ability to reveal details that remain hidden with lesser DACs while still sounding warm, balanced, and inviting. Individual instruments and voices were better defined within the soundstage, creating a sense of greater space between sound sources. Terrific bass dynamics and energy were evident without ever sounding overpowering or artificial in any way. With the Lumin X1 added to my system, sound was improved to the point that my speakers reached a noticeably higher level of performance than I had experienced with any other DAC.” — BOB BARETT, HOMETHEATERREVIEW.COM   “Low-level detail through the Lumin X1 is exemplary. The X1 does everything you would expect from a premium audiophile product--it looks cool, operate flawlessly, aepts firmware updates, and has its own app.” — THE ABSOLUTE SOUND, 2020 EDITORS' CHOICE AWARDS     Streaming's New Cutting Edge Never content, Lumin has been constantly been evaluating its streamers to see if there was any possible way to beat them.
