Luksusowa Vodka 1.75L

Luksusowa Vodka 1.75L is a triple-distilled Polish potato vodka bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a generous handle format. Awarded a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and scoring 93 points from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, it stands as one of the most critically recognized potato vodkas at its price point. Quick Facts: ABV: 40%  |  Origin: Poland  |  Style: Potato Vodka  |  Distillery: Polmos Zielona Góra Production & Heritage Luksusowa is produced by Polmos Zielona Góra, one of Poland's historic state-founded distilleries. The vodka is made exclusively from select potatoes grown in the Baltic coast region of northern Poland, then blended with pure artesian well water. It takes roughly ten times more potatoes than it would take grain to produce an equivalent volume of vodka, which contributes to the spirit's distinctive weight and mouthfeel. The liquid undergoes triple distillation, resulting in a clean but characterful profile that retains the earthy signature of its potato base. Tasting Notes Aroma: The nose is notably neutral and restrained, opening with faint hints of vanilla and a whisper of marshmallow sweetness. There is very little of the sharp alcohol burn common in many vodkas at this price tier. Taste: On the palate, the entry is sweet and slightly oily, coating the tongue with medium body. The mid-palate reveals a subtle earthiness that marks it unmistakably as a potato-based spirit. At its peak the texture is creamy and rounded, with a soft, almost starchy quality. Finish: The finish is sharp and defined, leaving a moderate bitterness that balances the initial sweetness. It fades at a medium length, clean enough for mixing yet distinctive enough for sipping chilled. How to Drink Luksusowa Served ice-cold and neat in a small glass, Luksusowa delivers its full potato-driven texture and subtle sweetness — the traditional Polish method. It also performs exceptionally well in cocktails where its medium body and slight earthiness add dimension. A Vodka Martini benefits from its creamy mouthfeel and clean finish. A Moscow Mule gains extra weight and roundness from the potato base, standing up well to ginger beer's spice. A Bloody Mary is a natural pairing, where the faint earthiness and oily texture integrate smoothly with tomato and savory seasonings. Best For Stocking a home bar with a high-quality everyday vodka in a cost-effective format Hosting gatherings or parties where volume matters without sacrificing quality Introducing friends to authentic Polish potato vodka tradition Batch cocktail preparation for events requiring a versatile, clean-tasting base spirit Frequently Asked Questions What does Luksusowa taste like? Luksusowa delivers a sweet, slightly oily entry with subtle earthiness and faint vanilla notes, finishing with moderate bitterness and a clean, medium-length fade. Its potato base gives it a creamier, fuller body than most grain-based vodkas. How does Luksusowa compare to Chopin Vodka? Both are Polish potato vodkas, but Chopin is a single-ingredient, single-distillery spirit positioned at a higher price tier with a more pronounced creamy richness. Luksusowa is triple-distilled and considerably more affordable, making it a strong value alternative with a slightly leaner, more neutral profile. Is Luksusowa good for cocktails? Its medium body and clean finish make it an excellent cocktail vodka, particularly in drinks like Bloody Marys and Moscow Mules where the subtle earthiness and oily texture add complexity without overwhelming other ingredients. Where is Luksusowa made? Luksusowa is produced at the Polmos Zielona Góra distillery in Poland, using potatoes grown in the Baltic coast region of northern Poland and water drawn from artesian wells. What foods pair well with Luksusowa? Smoked salmon and cured fish complement its clean, slightly sweet character. Pickled herring and other brined foods echo Polish vodka tradition. Sharp cheeses like aged cheddar play well against the subtle earthiness. Pierogies or other potato-based dishes create a natural affinity. Dark rye bread with butter rounds out a classic Eastern European pairing. What sizes does Luksusowa come in? Luksusowa is widely available in 750ml, 1L, and 1.75L formats, with the 1.75L handle offering the best per-ounce value for regular enjoyment or entertaining. Is Luksusowa worth the price? Luksusowa positions as one of the strongest values in the potato vodka category, delivering a quality profile — backed by a 93-point score from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and a San Francisco Spirits Competition Gold Medal — at a price well below most competitors of comparable quality. Why Luksusowa? Few potato vodkas at any price can match Luksusowa's combination of critical recognition and accessibility. Its 93-point Ultimate Spirits Challenge score and San Francisco Spirits Competition Gold Medal confirm what the liquid delivers: genuine potato-vodka character — creamy, subtly earthy, cleanly distilled — without the premium markup of single-estate competitors. The triple-distillation process using northern Polish potatoes and artesian well water produces a spirit with enough texture and personality to sip chilled yet enough neutrality to disappear into a well-built cocktail. In the 1.75L format, it represents one of the smartest buys in the vodka aisle for anyone who values substance over marketing.
