Ludwigia Sphaerocarpa

Ludwigia Sphaerocarpa, also known as Roundfruit Primrose Willow, is a rare form that isn't commonly seen in aquascaping. Native to wetlands of North America, this aquatic stem plant is perfect for high tech planted aquariums and aquascapers who enjoy growing challenging aquatic plants. It features a unique growth pattern that is compact and almost rosette-like, and spreads horizontally before growing upwards. When grown in a planted tank with strong lighting, CO2 and a regular dosing routine, Sphaerocarpa develops a vivid color palette that includes orange, brown and rich red tones. Its intense color will surely stand out in any aquascape. It is on the slower side of growth, but patience will be generously rewarded! Provide it with nutrient-rich aquarium substrate and make sure to trim it regularly to encourage new growth and branching behavior.
