Luar Pearl Drop Necklace | Silver

Luar — "moonlight" in Portuguese. The light that moves the tides and silvers the surface of the sea. This necklace holds a little of that glow. A luminous pearl sways upon a fluid snake chain — born in the dark of the oyster, soft and round as a drop of light. At its crown the metal is worked by hand into a molten, asymmetric cap that spills and flows over the pearl like water finding its own shape. Handmade to order, each pearl natural and organic in form — so every pair will vary ever so slightly, yours alone, special and unique to you. Legend holds that pearls are mermaids' tears, or dewdrops from the moon that fell into the sea—in Greek mythology, they were said to be tears of joy shed by Aphrodite, goddess of love. Long recognized as symbols of purity, pearls are believed to promote emotional balance, calm, and serenity, while encouraging spiritual growth, intuition, and inner wisdom.
