Lower Madison River - Summer Fly Box

Fish the Lower Madison like you know it — because now you do.   The Lower Madison River Summer Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Lower Madison from June through August. Summer on the Lower Madison produces exceptional hopper fishing in the valley sections and solid caddis and PMD action throughout. The Bear Trap Canyon is worth the hike every time.   This box is built around the Lower Madison's summer hatch calendar — caddis, PMDs, golden stoneflies, and grasshoppers. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing and hopper-dropper rigs in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering large hopper patterns, elk hair caddis, PMD dries, and attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Hike into the Bear Trap Canyon in summer. The fishing pressure drops dramatically once you're a mile in, and the fish are wild, strong, and willing.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Lower Madison or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
