Lower Madison River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Lower Madison like you know it — because now you do.   The Lower Madison River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Lower Madison from September through November. Fall transforms the Lower Madison. Brown trout push downstream from Hebgen Lake through the system and become aggressive hunters as spawn approaches. This is prime streamer season.   This box is built around the Lower Madison's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives and late caddis. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and BWO dry fly fishing in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering large streamers, BWO dries, mahogany duns, and big attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: The Hebgen Lake brown trout migration through the Lower Madison in October and November is one of Montana's great fall fishing events. Fish big streamers and hold on.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Lower Madison or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
