Lotus Seed Mala w/Spacers

This beautifully crafted mala is made from the seeds of a tree that grows on the foothills of the Himalayas. Often referred to as "lotus seeds," these beads are actually known as "stars and moon bodhiseed" in East Asia due to their distinctive appearance. Each bead features unique natural specks, symbolizing the "stars," and a round indentation, marking the place where the seed's stem once was – representing the "moon." This subtle yet elegant mala is deeply connected to the spiritual essence of the Lotus Family, making it ideal for practices related to Amitabha, Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), and Tara. Symbolism & Meaning Lotus seeds are closely tied to spiritual growth, purity, and transformation in various Buddhist traditions. The natural specks on each bead represent the endless potential of the universe, while the moon-shaped indentation symbolizes the light of wisdom and compassion. Vajrayana Buddhists often associate this mala with the Lotus Family of the Five Buddha Families, making it an excellent choice for practices focused on love, compassion, and enlightenment.
