Lophocereus schotti f. monstrosus major - Totem Pole Cactus (Thick form)

Pachycereus schottii f. monstrosus (Syn. Lophocereus schotti 'Monstrosus') Also known as Totem Pole Cactus. These are a thornless variety of the senita cactus. They are stemless, thornless, knobby columnar cacti.  They will grow many columns emanating from the base that are approx. 2-4in. in diameter. Unlike their senita cousin that form dense, brush-like bristles at the ends of their stems, the Totem pole stays completely smooth and spine-free. They have a lovely chartreuse to lime-green color. These cacti are noted and prized for their unique textural appearance, well-behaved growth habit, heat and drought tolerance. Easy to grow with virtually no maintenance. Great for containers.  (**12-18in. pictured w/6in. sized plant**) Exposure Full to part sun Grows to 6-15 feet high x 4-8 feet wide Hardiness Zone 9-11 *Plants ship bare root*     Why bare root?
