Loon™ - Top Ride

Loon™ - Top Ride Flies sinking? Meet the fly CPR. Loon™ Top Ride Standard is the dry-fly equivalent of a life preserver—except it’s powdered, faster, and won’t judge your casting. Who it’s for: dry fly anglers who prefer their flies to float, not drown. For the patient, the impatient, and the guide who calls it “Shake and Bake.” This is AXG Life—Life, Adventure-Ready—with a little salt and a lot of surface tension. Key Features & Design Type: Desiccant (drying agent) and powder floatant Use: Restores waterlogged flies and keeps them riding high on the film Nickname: Known as “Shake and Bake” by world-class guides Finish: Dry-powder application that’s fast and easy to use Color note: Dun has a grey tint for natural-looking flies Performance / Benefits Turns soggy disasters into float-ready heroes. Sprinkle a little Top Ride on your soaked flies, shake off the excess, and watch surface tension do the rest. It revives waterlogged hackles, keeps delicate patterns riding higher, and reduces the mid-stream wringing-out drama. Why it matters: less time fussing with flies, more time nailing risers. Built for dawn drift sessions, late-afternoon dry fly magic, and questionable decisions that somehow end with great stories. Top Ride lets your flies behave like they belong on the surface—where the fish actually see them. Quick practical wins: faster turnaround between casts, extended float time, and a subtle grey tint option for natural dun patterns. How to use Dip or dust the fly lightly with powder. Shake off the excess—yes, that part matters. Cast. Pretend you meant to be that good. Toss Top Ride into your vest and make your next drift a little less tragic and a lot more legendary. Add to cart and make Monday jealous.
