Loon™ - Soft Head

Loon™ Soft Head — Clear Think of this as fly-tying’s version of duct tape, but softer, cleaner, and actually made for delicate work. The Loon™ Soft Head in Clear puts a thick, flexible finish on flies and poppers without smelling up your workshop or turning your dry flies into rock sculptures. For the fly tyer who values precision, finish, and not inhaling glue fumes — this is for you. Part of the AXG Life collection, Life, Adventure-Ready gear that helps you tie smarter, fish longer, and look like you meant to do it. Key Features & Design Color: Clear — invisible finish so your fly looks natural in the water. Formula: Thick one-part head cement that stays soft and pliable. Feel: Soft, flexible coating ideal for flies and poppers. Safety: Odorless and non-toxic — no chemical fog while you tie. Base: Water-based for easy use and cleanup. Included: Comes with an applicator brush for precise control. Best for: Excellent for building heads and finishing ties without hardening brittle results. Performance & Benefits This Soft Head keeps dry flies soft and realistic, so they behave like the real thing instead of a miniature bowling ball. The thick, flexible coating gives durable protection while retaining movement — perfect for poppers that need a little bounce and flies that need to stay lifelike after multiple casts. Because it’s odorless and water-based, you can tie inside without scaring away the cat or your significant other. The included applicator brush makes delicate work—like neat heads and tiny domes—a breeze, turning tedious finishing into something satisfying (even a little fun). In short: it helps you make better flies, faster, and with less cleanup drama. Why You’ll Use It Preserves fly action — stays soft, not brittle. Cleans up easily and won’t fill the room with fumes. Clear finish keeps patterns true to life. Brush-applicator gives control for neat, professional heads. Ready to stop making crunchy flies? Toss a bottle of Loon™ Soft Head into your tying kit and make your next evenings of tying actually productive. Add to cart and make your fly box jealous.
