Long Pine Bench for Les Arcs

Classic pine 4 seater bench designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Les Arcs Ski Resort in France. A beautiful example of iconic Perriand design in an amazingly unusual length stretching just over 5 feet long. Pine was the wood of choice for much of the furniture Perriand designed and installed at the Les Arcs Ski Resort since it would tie in seamlessly with the surrounding geographic region which is chock full of stone, snow and mountain pines. A softer wood with larger growth rings than many trees, the pine tree is also a perfect choice when searching for a piece to warm a space thanks to its stunning amber and tan color. Great condition with dark knots throughout the grain and light scuffs and scratches which lend character. An amazing piece of collectible Charlotte Perriand design. Wear as shown. More Perriand benches available in separate listings. Located at our Los Angeles showroom.
