London Table Light

The Original BTC London Table Light brings iconic retro design to contemporary workspaces through its distinctive spun aluminum semi-sphere shade that combines mid-century inspiration with precise British engineering. This thoughtfully crafted desk light features an alluringly curved chrome arm that creates sculptural elegance while providing practical adjustability, with the cotton braided cable cleverly woven through the curved arm for a clean-lined, neatly tailored finish that exemplifies sophisticated design attention. Available in four striking colors - black, putty grey, yellow, and red - each paired with a solid chrome base that provides stability and contemporary appeal. Whether positioned on desks where the directional shade provides focused task lighting for productive work, placed on side tables where the retro aesthetic adds character to living spaces, or used as bedside lighting where the curved form creates intimate ambiance, the London Table Light delivers both functional illumination and timeless British design sophistication. This table light showcases authentic British metalworking using centuries-old spinning techniques inherited from London's East India Docks heritage. Each spun aluminum shade begins as a sheet metal disc formed through high-speed spinning and hand-applied pressure, creating the distinctive semi-sphere profile that defines this iconic design. The solid chrome base and curved arm ensure smooth operation and lasting durability, while the cotton braided cable adds authentic manufacturing character and practical convenience. E26 compatibility supports both LED and incandescent options with full dimming capability, and UL listing ensures safe North American installation. Original BTC, established in 1990 by Peter Bowles, designs with quality, detail, and respect for mid-century industrial heritage while creating lighting that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly contemporary. The London Table Light reflects the brand's passion for updating classic forms with modern functionality and precise engineering that enhances daily productivity. Through traditional metalworking techniques and careful attention to ergonomic design and visual proportion, Original BTC helps create workspaces and living areas that celebrate both heritage craftsmanship and timeless design appeal while delivering lighting that transforms everyday tasks into experiences of sophisticated British elegance.
