John’s parents moved from Norway and helped pioneer the small town of Newfolden, MN where they settled and raised eight children. John carved his first rolling pin in 1950 in his 24'x16' shop on his childhood farm in Newfolden and it is now a 3rd generation family-owned business. It is truly something that every baker of every generation can appreciate. GROOVED PINS - Carved with a small grove, this is an all-purpose pin for most kitchen needs. Our best seller. SMOOTH PINS- Silky smooth to the touch, this traditional pin is great for making cookies in the kitchen. CROSS CUT PINS - Carved with a small checker pattern, this pin is great for traditional lefse making. HARDTACK PINS - Carved with a large checker pattern making it great for Scandinavian flat breads, lefse and unleavened bread. BRUSH - 9” in length 5/8” in width. Brush head is 3 1/2” in length. Made for cleaning rolling pin grooves on all Grooved, Crosscut, and Hardtack rolling pins. LEFSE STICK - Dimensions 24” in length and 1 1/4” in width. Variations in color and grain in wood can vary from each individual Lefse stick. All Lefse sticks have also been hand sealed with our wood sealer.
