Lock Stories - Flor

The centerpiece of the new Lock Stories Collection is a 14k, three-sided combination lock on an 18" belcher chain with each side of the lock representing the same sentiment in a different language - the Roman alphabet, Victorian symbols, and Braille (which was also created during the Victorian era).  When the letters and symbols are lined up to reveal the secret message, the lock will open; the secret messages scrambled secure the lock on the wearer's neck.  Inspired by the Victorian Language of Flowers, the FLOR lock has four flowers which were used as a silent emotional declaration:   tulip for ‘declaration of love’, a pansy for the French ‘pensee’ which means think and came to mean ‘think of the giver’ or ‘think of me’ in Victorian times, a rose for romantic love and a forget-me-not for remembrance in life and then also in passing. Locks are made to order - please allow 8-10 weeks for delivery.
