Local Legends District: The Undertrash (PDF)

The Undertrash is a City of Mist district that isn’t a district. It’s the network of tunnels and caves, forgotten halls and filthy holes, situated beneath the metropolis. It is a place of both refuge and strife, offering a place for the various homeless, dispossessed, and forgotten folks to live together and support one another, whilst fighting a seemingly endless dispute for land and resources. Visitors are advised to make friends with someone powerful if they want to survive more than a couple of hours inside this subterranean maze, full of faction fights and tunnels leading into monster lairs. A 27 page PDF covering a themed district designed to be used with the City of Mist roleplaying game Includes subterranean locations that players can explore, like the Nordic realm of Niðavellir, home of the dweorgs craftmasters, the burial site of ancient Aztec god bones, and the twisting tunnels of the Serpent Hills Features a one-shot case wherein players investigate rumors of vampiric predators stalking the tunnels of the Undertrash, only to discover that the rabbit hole goes even deeper than they could have imagined  Meet and mingle with a cast of strange and, often, dangerous characters like the reincarnation of Beowulf’s titular monster Grendel, and Yasmin the Cold Queen, Rift of Mesopotamian goddess Ereshkigal Encounter terrifying creatures within the darkest corners of the Undertrash, such as Etruscean undead, and animated cave drawings from the dawn of history
