Little Buddy

Named after a teenager's first car, Little Buddy from Olympia Coffee Roasting Company is a vibrant blend of African coffees designed to take you somewhere new. Scored 94 by Coffee Review, this approachable yet distinctive coffee brings together the best of East African terroir in a cup that's as exciting as your first road trip. Olympia sources from Ethiopia and Kenya, combining coffees that showcase bright acidity, juicy body, and complex fruit-forward notes that make specialty coffee so compelling. Tasting NotesLittle Buddy delivers a clean, energetic cup with pronounced citrus and berry notes—think Meyer lemon, wild blueberry, and a hint of black tea. The acidity is bright and lively without being sharp, balanced by a silky body that carries the fruit flavors through a lingering, sweet finish. There's a floral quality in the aroma that gives way to stone fruit complexity as the cup cools. This is coffee that evolves in the cup, revealing new layers with each sip while remaining wonderfully approachable for developing palates. Brew MethodsLittle Buddy shines brightest in methods that highlight its clarity and fruit-forward character. Pour over (V60, Kalita Wave, or Chemex) showcases the delicate florals and vibrant acidity beautifully. It also makes an exceptional light-bodied espresso for those who enjoy fruit-forward shots with sparkling acidity—pull it a bit shorter to concentrate the berry sweetness. In a French press, expect fuller body with the fruit notes taking on a jammy quality. AeroPress users will love the versatility: experiment with shorter brew times for bright clarity or longer immersion for rounder body.
