Lines and Layers

LINES AND LAYERS – A 24×30-inch acrylic on canvas exploring the elegance, movement, and quiet strength of a single bloom. Created in 2017. This piece magnifies the folds and curves of a flower, transforming its delicate petals into an intricate map of line and form. The layered washes of color create a soft luminosity, as if the petals are holding light within them. Blush pinks and lavender purples bring a sense of tenderness and grace, while warm gold and peach tones offer gentle vitality and joy. Subtle touches of coral and violet suggest moments of transformation, each shift in color echoing the way beauty evolves over time. Against the cool, muted background, the bloom feels both grounded and expansive, a quiet celebration of nature’s intricate design.
