Linen Tail Oversized Lumbar Moroccan Pillow

A central diamond medallion, stitched in tone-on-tone white, anchors this handcrafted Moroccan cactus silk lumbar pillow — quiet and understated against its warm ivory ground. Woven from the resilient fibers of the Saharan aloe vera cactus — often called cactus silk or Sabra silk — this generously scaled lumbar pillow measures approximately 40" x 20". At over a yard wide, this is substantially larger than a standard lumbar pillow, making it a striking, quiet anchor across a sofa, bed, or bench. The embroidery is hand-worked by Moroccan artisans in a technique passed down through generations of Berber weavers, finished with raw fringe at the corners and left unlined at the seam edge for an honest, handmade character.  Its long, low profile makes it especially suited to layering along the back of a sofa or as a headboard accent. Each piece is one of a kind, and small variations in stitch placement, tone, and exact dimension are part of its handmade character. This is a handmade Moroccan cactus silk oversized lumbar pillow, 40"x20", in tonal ivory with scattered diamond clusters and raw fringe detailing. Q: What size insert do I need for a 40"x20" lumbar pillow cover? A: For the fullest, most tailored look, size up slightly from the cover — a 42"x22" or 44"x22" insert is typical, since a slightly larger insert prevents the corners from looking empty or the fabric from sagging. If you prefer a flatter, more relaxed drape, a true 40"x20" insert works too. *Era: Contemporary *Material: Agave (cactus) silk, cotton backing, natural vegetable dyes *Size:  Approx. 40"(L) x 20"(H) — handmade, size may vary slightly piece to piece *Color: Tonal ivory / oatmeal, with white-on-white cross-stitch embroidery *Features: Raw fringe detail at top corners; zip closure *Care: Remove insert before cleaning; dry clean only *Condition: New artisanal.
