Linen Stitch Loop Using Manos Alegría

The Design “Vivid pixels.” This pattern takes linen stitch and throws it for a loop—literally! Worked in the round, linen stitch becomes just a little easier. You simply work the same two stitches over and over—always working on the right side. In this two-color loop, a little reverse stockinette stitch at the edges tidies things up nicely. Our pattern also includes instructions for an I-cord edging as well as a three-color version. So you can have lots of fun mixing it up! We love how the linen stitch texture looks woven—and how it tends to ‘pixelate’ variegated yarns. Naturally, we gravitated towards Manos Alegría’s dazzling array of vibrant variegations and saturated solids—and picked out one of each! Alegría is a fingering-weight blend of superwash merino and sturdy polyamide—easy to care for, wonderfully resilient, and (best of all) super soft.
