Linear EP-EXN EntryPro Expansion Node, 2-Door

2-Door Access Control Expansion Node for EP EntryPro Systems The Linear EP-EXN is a networked access control expansion node for EP and EN series EntryPro telephone entry and access control systems. It adds two door control channels and four Wiegand reader inputs to an existing EP network, sharing one common database with the controller unit. The EP-EXN connects via Ethernet and comes preconfigured as a client. Only one EP unit in a multi-unit installation acts as the controller; all EP-EXN units operate as clients and do not require the License-To-Go procedure. The EP-EXN includes a CPU board, I/O board, lockable metal cabinet with tamper switch, and a 2A plug-in power supply. The cabinet dimensions match the standard EP series footprint. For installations requiring more than two doors, adding the EP-ACM module (720-200105) expands the EP-EXN to four doors and eight readers. This unit is also referenced under part number 720-100104. Key Features Adds 2 door control channels and 4 Wiegand reader inputs to an existing EP or EN EntryPro network Expandable to 4 doors and 8 readers with EP-ACM module (720-200105) Preconfigured as a client; connects via Ethernet to EP network controller Four Form C relays: 2 door lock, 2 auxiliary; rated 5A @ 24V Two DSM door position inputs, two REX request-to-exit inputs, two auxiliary inputs Lockable metal cabinet with mechanical tamper switch 2A plug-in power supply (PIP) included 16GB removable SD card retains cardholder and configuration data Also known as part number 720-100104 Technical Specifications Part Number: EP-EXN (also 720-100104) Function: 2-door access control expansion node Door Channels: 2 (expandable to 4 with EP-ACM 720-200105) Wiegand Inputs: 4 (expandable to 8 with EP-ACM) Relay Outputs: 4 Form C SPDT, 5A @ 24V (2 door lock, 2 auxiliary) Inputs: 2 DSM, 2 REX, 2 auxiliary Power Input: 11-13V DC Current Draw: 750 mA Power Supply Included: 2A plug-in power supply (PIP) Memory: 16GB removable SD card Network: TCP/IP via RJ45 LAN port Cabinet: Lockable metal with tamper switch Case Dimensions: 13 in W x 16-1/4 in H x 3-1/2 in D Operating Temperature: -22°F to 149°F (-30°C to 65°C) Humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing Compatibility: Linear EP and EN series EntryPro telephone entry systems Warranty: 24 months Manufacturer: Nortek Security and Control LLC (Linear) Condition: New Conclusion The EP-EXN is preconfigured as a client and does not function as a standalone system or network controller. A compatible EP or EN series controller unit is required. For installations needing more than two controlled doors per EP-EXN, the EP-ACM module (720-200105) must be added separately. Mount the unit at least 10 feet from any gate or gate operator per Linear's installation requirements.
