Lindera angustifolia, Oriental Spicebush

A multi-stemmed shrub with leaves that are glossy-green above and silvery underneath. The spectacular fall color of orange-yellow-red signals the beginning of dormancy for the shrub, however, the leaves finally turn tawny-brown and stay on the shrub for most of the winter. Small green-yellow blooms in early spring turn to black shiny berries in the fall. It's a beauty. Mature size: 6-8 feet T & 3-5 feet W Minimum temperature: -10° F
