Lime Sugar - Tropical Citrus Sparkle

A blend of pure cane sugar and dehydrated limes. Originally meant for cocktails, this blend is a must have for custards, curds and cookies. A catamaran cruise off the coast of Costa Rica introduced me to the delightful taste of lime sugar. As I enjoyed the scenic beauty of the turquoise waters and green hills, we enjoyed cocktails with the local liquer, flavored with lime sugar. With one taste, my taste buds were awakened by the tangy sweetness. From that moment on, I associate the smell and taste of lime sugar with the relaxing experience of winding down, soaking up the sun, and immersing myself in the tropical vibes of Costa Rica. Known by various nicknames like pinga and caninha, cachaça holds its status as Brazil's top spirit. Beyond Brazil, cachaça finds its perfect match in tropical concoctions, with the caipirinha reigning supreme as the most iconic and beloved cocktail. 1 whole lime 2 tsp Lime Sugar Crushed ice for serving 2 1/2 ounces cachaça (or vodka) Quarter the lime: Slice the ends off the lime.
