Kids Holy Lamb

The Holy Lamb, referring to Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God, is a central theme in Scripture. Here are key passages emphasizing His importance in redemption, sacrifice, and victory: 1. Jesus as the Lamb of God John 1:29 (NASB 1995) "The next day he [John the Baptist] saw Jesus coming to him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’" 🔹 John the Baptist identifies Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah who would bear the sins of humanity. 2. The Lamb as a Sacrifice for Sin Isaiah 53:7 (NASB 1995) "He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth." 🔹 Prophecy of Jesus' suffering—He willingly accepted death, like a silent lamb being led to sacrifice. 1 Peter 1:18-19 (NASB 1995) "Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ." 🔹 Jesus’ sacrifice is pure, perfect, and more valuable than earthly riches—His blood redeems believers. 3. The Passover Connection Exodus 12:5-7 (NASB 1995) (Passover Lamb) "Your lamb shall be an unblemished male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats. And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to slaughter it at twilight. Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it." 🔹 The Passover lamb’s blood saved Israel from death, foreshadowing Jesus, the ultimate Lamb, whose blood saves from eternal death. 1 Corinthians 5:7 (NASB 1995) "For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed." 🔹 Jesus fulfills the Passover, offering deliverance from sin and death. 4. The Lamb in Revelation (Eternal Victory) Revelation 5:12 (NASB 1995) "Saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing.’" 🔹 Jesus, the slain Lamb, is victorious and worthy of all worship. Revelation 7:17 (NASB 1995) "For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes." 🔹 The Lamb is also the Shepherd—He leads His people to eternal life.
