Light Cahill

Light Cahill  The Light Cahill is one of those dry flies that never goes out of style. With its creamy-yellow body, upright wings, and natural float, it’s a go-to pattern when pale mayflies are hatching—or when trout just need a gentle nudge to rise. Perfect for matching Pale Evening Duns, Light Hendricksons, and other light-bodied insects, this pattern works especially well in clear water, soft light, and slower currents. It’s subtle, classic, and still crushes trout from May through September. Why it works: Pale yellow body mimics light-colored mayfly adults Upright wings and light hackle keep it floating high Subtle profile makes it deadly in pressured or clear water Barbed hook for solid hookups and fish retention A timeless pattern for matching spring and summer hatches Sizes available as variants Finatics Fly Company
