Life Takes Flight: Adventures of the World's First Female 747 Pilot

Unity and division. Awards and angst. Serendipity and stumbling blocks. Life Takes Flight picks up where pilot Lynn Ripplemeyer's first book, Life Takes Wings, left off. Here she shares more adventures and accomplishments as she navigates her 747 through the skies and herself through the highs and lows of life. Lynn finds challenges in an aviation industry full of merges, lay-offs, uncertainty, and sexism while also seeking stability in her personal life. True to her adventurous and cooperative spirit, Lynn finds her way through numerous airlines and airplanes to become the world's first 747 transoceanic captain. Her professional and personal lives are filed with honors, disappointments, joy, and heartbreak. Pilot and non-pilot males and females will enjoy this well-told story.  Hardcover
