LIFE REVERSE OSMOSIS POST FILTER ™

A reverse osmosis post filter is a specialized filter used in reverse osmosis systems. It is designed to be installed after the main filtration process to further enhance the quality and taste of the filtered water. The primary functions and benefits of a reverse osmosis post filter include increasing pH and ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) of the water. pH Enhancement: The post filter is equipped with special media that helps increase the pH level of the water. Reverse osmosis filtration typically removes a significant portion of minerals from the water, which can make it slightly acidic. By passing the filtered water through the post filter, it undergoes a pH adjustment, typically raising it to a more alkaline level. This can result in water that tastes better and is less acidic, which some people find more refreshing. ORP Increase: ORP is a measure of the water's ability to act as an oxidizing or reducing agent. Higher ORP values indicate greater antioxidant potential. The post filter is designed to increase the ORP of the water by introducing specific media or minerals that promote oxidation-reduction reactions. This can help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body and provide potential health benefits. Benefits of a Reverse Osmosis Post Filter: a. Improved Taste: The pH adjustment provided by the post filter can help enhance the taste of the filtered water, making it more pleasant to drink. Alkaline water is often described as having a smoother and more refreshing taste compared to acidic water. b. Alkalizing Properties: Consuming alkaline water can help balance the body's pH levels, which tend to become acidic due to factors such as diet and stress. The post filter helps create alkaline water, which has health benefits, including better hydration and improved digestion. c. Antioxidant Potential: By increasing the ORP of the water, the post filter may contribute to its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, which can reduce oxidative stress and improve overall health. d. Health Considerations: Drinking alkaline water or water with higher ORP has health implications for individuals with specific conditions. It's worth mentioning that the effectiveness of a reverse osmosis post filter can depend on the specific media used and the quality of the water being filtered.
