Libreria Pensile Shelf

The Karakter Libreria Pensile Shelf is a minimalist design that perfectly captures the ingenuity of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Originally designed in 1957 and perfected over the years, it was produced by Bernini in 1966. Castiglioni aimed to simplify the traditional bookcase structure by suspending the shelves with knots in two cords fixed to a single point on the wall. As a result, the Libreria Pensile Shelf is not only timeless but also functional, maintaining its place in modern interiors even after more than five decades. Moreover, the Libreria Pensile Shelf combines simplicity with practicality, showcasing Castiglioni's minimalist brilliance. Produced by Karakter, a Danish design company with a deep-rooted Scandinavian tradition, this shelf represents the brand’s commitment to timeless modern furniture. This piece is an ideal choice for those looking to enhance their living or working spaces with a touch of elegance and utility. Furthermore, Karakter is a design company that blends exploration with an uncompromising commitment to quality.
