S.A.M. Level IV Plate - 5.2lbs

The S.A.M. (Stand-Alone Multi-Hit) Level IV Plate weighs in at a scant 5.2 lbs and delivers top-tier Level IV rifle protection in one of the lightest multi-hit plates available in its class. Engineered from advanced silicon carbide ceramic, this hard armor plate far exceeds minimum NIJ Level IV requirements, providing reliable defense against up to six .30-06 armor-piercing threats and repeated impacts in real-world encounters. Its single-curve profile with shooter cut enhances ergonomic comfort and tactical mobility inside carriers, making it a go-to choice for military, law enforcement, and professional operators seeking uncompromised performance. Available in multiple sizes, this plate adapts to a wide array of carriers and mission needs. Multi-Hit Level IV Ballistic Protection: Built to meet and exceed NIJ Level IV standards, the S.A.M. plate offers stand-alone defense against armor-piercing rifle rounds — including the demanding .30-06 AP threat — without requiring supplemental armor backing. While NIJ Level IV testing technically requires stopping a single AP round, this plate is engineered to resist up to 6 AP impacts, giving serious operators a higher margin of safety in life-critical scenarios. Advanced Silicon Carbide Ceramic Construction: Constructed using silicon carbide ceramic strike faces, this plate delivers exceptional hardness and energy dissipation upon impact. Silicon carbide allows for superior threat defeat while keeping overall plate thickness to a minimum compared to older ceramic technologies. The result is a durable, high-performance armor solution designed for real-world ballistic encounters. Ultra-Lightweight Profile: At approximately 5.2 lbs in a 10×12 shooter cut, the S.A.M. Level IV plate is significantly lighter than many traditional hard armor plates without sacrificing protection. The single-curve shooter cut gives this plate a natural ergonomic fit that contours to the wearer’s body, offering enhanced comfort and balance in plate carriers. The shooter cut allows for greater range of motion for arms and shoulders, improving weapon handling and maneuverability — especially valuable during tactical movement or prolonged wear. Available Sizes for Custom Protection: This plate is offered in multiple sizes including 6×6, 10×12, and 11×14, giving operators flexibility to choose the right coverage for their body type and tactical needs. Selecting the proper size optimizes ballistic coverage of vital areas while ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of plate carriers and tactical rigs — elevating both comfort and defensive performance in the field.Top of Form
