Hope Is Here: A Family Advent Devotional

It goes without saying that we live in a trying time, with many stresses and unknowns. In the midst of the battle, Christmas can feel almost superficial. It may feel as though you’ve got bigger fi sh to fry than decorating and singing carols! We get it! It’s easy to get so caught up in the battle, that the wonder of Christmas feels, well, less wonderful. But is it? Certainly not! We believe that the Light shines brightest in the midst of darkness; that even in our most trying times, we can experience deep joy and peace. We believe that this joy and peace is found in centering our hearts on our Rock, Jesus. If you are looking at Christmas through the lens of the world, then yes, it’s superficial. No amount of gift giving and saying everything is ok is going to change anything. However, for the Christian, Christmas is more than a happy season to eat and be merry. It is a marker, a set time on our calendar to immerse ourselves in the awe of one of the greatest moments in history: when God Himself, our Light, came down into the darkness to cast it away forever. We implore you, don’t miss this opportunity. We all could use some re-centering. We all have room to grow deeper and press into our love, our awe, and our security in Jesus. We have written this devotional in hopes that it will help you do just that: press in. Rather than zoom through Christmas focused on more “important” things, press in to your hope in Jesus. Remember the amazing thing He did for us. And lead your family into that hope as well. This devotional is written for families. You certainly could go through it alone, but we encourage you to walk this journey with your spouse and your kids. Even the youngest kiddos can be led into a deeper love and knowledge of what Christmas truly is with you! DESCRIPTION 63 pages, 4 chapters of 4 lessons each This product is a digital download.
