Let It Go 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

A classic moment of observation and humor comes to life in Let It Go, a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle featuring a New Yorker magazine cover illustrated by Jean-Jacques Sempé, originally published on July 6, 1987. Set against a festive backdrop of an Americana celebration, a crowd gathers as balloons rise into the sky—except for one child who refuses to let theirs go, prompting a call from a nearby adult. Sempé’s signature wit shines through in this simple yet expressive scene, capturing a universal moment of hesitation, independence, and gentle tension. The composition is filled with patriotic reds, whites, and blues, evoking the spirit of a summer celebration in the USA, while the humor remains timeless and relatable. With its balance of open space and small narrative detail, the puzzle offers a satisfying, story-driven experience that reveals more with each piece. Perfect for fans of The New Yorker, lovers of subtle humor, and collectors of classic illustration, Let It Go delivers a charming and thoughtful puzzling experience rooted in everyday life.
