Care at a Glance Vivarium size and setup Adults require a minimum 36”L x 18”W x 18”H front-opening enclosure, although larger is always preferred. Set up as a semi-arid bioactive habitat using the Terra Sahara Bioactive Kit. Provide ample hiding spaces with cork bark, rocks, hollow logs, and other environmental enrichment to encourage natural burrowing, thermoregulation, and exploration. Include a warm hide, cool hide, and humid hide to allow your gecko to choose the microclimate it needs throughout the day. Leopard Gecko Clean Up Crew Packs pair well with Terra Sahara to help break down waste and support a healthy ecosystem. Pair with hardy, arid-tolerant plants like those from the Leopard Gecko Starter Plant Pack to create natural cover and visual barriers. Good cross-ventilation and a strong seasonal light cycle are essential. Temperature Create a broad, naturalistic thermal gradient. Basking surface 94–97°F, warm hide 90–92°F, and cool side 70–77°F. Use an overhead 50W Arcadia Halogen Heat Lamp for primary heat and an Arcadia ShadeDweller 7% UVB Kit to provide beneficial UVB exposure. Monitor temperatures with two digital thermometer/hygrometers and always regulate heat with a thermostat. Humidity Maintain ambient humidity between 30–40%. Provide a humid hide with 70–80% humidity at all times to support healthy sheds. Lightly moisten the humid hide as needed while keeping the rest of the enclosure relatively dry to maintain natural humidity gradients. Diet Leopard geckos are insectivores and should be fed a varied diet of appropriately sized, gut-loaded insects such as crickets, roaches, and other soft-bodied feeders. Feeder insects should never be wider than the space between your gecko's eyes. Dust feeders regularly with Repashy Calcium Plus and feed them a quality gut load, such as Bio Dude Bug Grub, before offering them to your gecko.
