Lent IHC Monogram Violet Pulpit Fall | Kyrie Eleison Collection

Violet Lent Pulpit Fall with IHC Christogram Kyrie Eleison Collection Design Style 1358 This violet brocade Lenten pulpit fall features the historic IHC Christogram, one of the oldest sacred monograms of the Holy Name of Jesus. Derived from the first three letters of ΙΗΣΟΥΣ (Jesus) in Greek, IHC proclaims Christ as Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. During Lent, the Church turns her attention to the mystery of Christ’s Passion—His suffering, humility, and love poured out for the salvation of the world. The rich violet fabric expresses repentance and preparation, while the IHC monogram affirms that every act of Lent is rooted in the Name above all names. “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow.” — Philippians 2:10 This pulpit fall guides the eye and heart toward Christ’s mercy, echoing the ancient refrain of the Church: “Kyrie Eleison.” — Lord, have mercy. Whether used for Lent, Passiontide, Holy Week, or other penitential observances, this piece brings sacred clarity and reverence to the sanctuary.
